Every spring we come to the Cascades, it is one of our favorite places around here to hike. This year it was really crowded at the falls. i took Sage back up the creek a bit to play where it was shallow. i took this picture of Sage and i with the falls behind us...not realizing Kenan and Sequoia are behind us too. This is our only family picture from the hike.

Sequoia had his first school playmate over. Brittany spent an afternoon here chasing chickens, swinging, coloring and when it looked like the kids might be getting bored...we pulled out the costumes.
Brittany is wearing a fairy skirt, Indian top and princess hat. Sequoia has on a Harry Potter Cape and the only play glasses, we could find.
Even Sage got in on the dress-up.

Every evening, a scarlet tanager comes and sits at the top of this dead tree across the road from us. He comes and sings his heart out, serenading us while we enjoy dinner outside. It is one of our favorite parts of spring. His bright red coloring is his mating plumage, once he finds his mate and we head into summer, his coloring will fade into a dull gray green and he will be unrecognizable.

We took video of the Graduation, but the file was too big to post on here. :( So these pictures are the best we can do right now.
This is the Kindergarten class, with the teacher Mrs. Allen, lining up before the Graduation ceremony.
The kids all received graduation medals and certificates. Sequoia also received specials awards for excellence in writing and in music. We are very proud of him.

We took a trip with the local Cloverbuds group to visit one of the two local alpaca farms. This one, Hope Springs, is only a few miles down the road.
